Herbert Park Croquet Club 2012 Season

Herbert Park Croquet Club

Our 2012 season starts at 2pm on Saturday March 31. We would welcome new members. Herbert Park Croquet Club has 2 croquet lawns next to the tennis courts in the beautiful Herbert Park in Ballsbridge Dublin 4. All equipment is provided and the annual membership fee is 70 euros - which covers use of the courts ,without extra charges, any time the park is open. Coaching is also available for beginners. Herbert Park is a friendly informal club with about 40 members ranging from beginners to experts. New Croquet Club in Waterville, Co. Kerry

The CAI Council are delighted to announce the affiliation of a new club based in the Waterville Lake hotel, County Kerry.
The Waterville Lake Croquet Society was formed last year and, through the efforts of its new members and Leo Dungan, has become a registered club with the CAI.
We look forward to following and aiding their development as a club and helping them promote croquet in the South West.

CAI Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Croquet Association of Ireland will be heldat Carrickmines Croquet and Lawn Tennis Club ( by kind permission ) On Thursday 24th November 2011 at 8pm. All members of the CAI are invited to attend.

Exhibition match at Rushbrooke (incl. photo)

Following an invitation from Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club an exhibition of association croquet was delivered to the members of what is the oldest existing croquet club in the country on Sunday October 23rd.
Courtesy of CAI Chairperson Simon Williams & world golf croquet champion Mark McInerney upwards of 30 enthusiastic players were shown the finer points of the traditional game before engaging in some competitive matchplay throughout the rain drenched afternoon.

Stephen Mulliner wins European Championship

Stephen Mulliner (ENG) defeated Mark McInerney (IRE) +15sxp, +17tp, -17tp, -11, +26tp in a closely-fought final to record his 12th European Championship.
